Our Community 
Alnmouth enjoys a remarkably large variety of community activities for its size. These include a well subscribed Women’s Institute (WI), a Camera Club, an Autumn Club, a Rowing Association, a Sailing Club as well as a Football Club and the Alnmouth & Lesbury Cricket Club.

Alnmouth Bay Community Rowing Association ABCRA
Alnmouth Rowing is a community venture, with 2 boats built by members of the community and housed in an historic Life Boat House next to the beach. No previous experience of rowing needed – just come along to try it. We provide briefings on what you need to know.

Alnmouth Burgage Holders 
Alnmouth Common is managed by a committee of Burgage Holders whose main aims are to safeguard and conserve the natural beauty of the common for future generations and to manage the natural habitat for wildlife. You can find out more about the Burgage Holders from their website.

Alnmouth & Lesbury Cricket Club
We are a top class, friendly and thriving cricket club. In 2019 the club's first team were the Northumberland and Tyneside Division 1 Champions.  In 2020 we have senior first, second, third and midweek teams as well as junior teams for the U9, U11, U13, U15 and U19 age groups. We also run a Ladies League Team and a Girls U14 team as well as participate in ladies and girls softball festivals. Our third team play their games at Howick. We also have a friendly team (mixed seniors and juniors) which plays on Sundays.  Do get in contact if you are interested in joining us.

Alnmouth Croquet Club 
Alnmouth Croquet Club was founded in 2010 and moved to moved to Alnmouth and Lesbury Cricket Club in 2014. The club entered the Croquet North Golf Croquet League for the first time in 2011. or more information about membership and forthcoming fixtures, contact the Secretary.

Alnmouth Village Golf Club
Founded in 1869, Alnmouth Village Golf Club is the oldest 9 hole golf club in England. The course was designed by the famous Scottish golfer Mungo Park, winner of the 1874 Open Championship at Musselburgh. The view from the seventh tee is spectacular with the beach, Alnmouth Bay, the Coquet Island all visible. Like other coastal courses it's open to the wind, adding to the challenge. We have friendly staff and a newly refurbished clubhouse with bar and a cafe open to non-members. Full and Social Membership available.

Alnmouth WI
The lively Alnmouth WI comprises a group of over 70 like-minded women living in and around the village of Alnmouth in from the age of 35 to ‘undisclosed”. Meetings take place on the first Monday of each month at 7.00pm in the Hindmarsh Hall

The Western Front Association 
The Western Front Association was formed in 1980 to maintain interest in the period 1914-1918, to perpetuate the memory, courage and comradeship of those on all sides who served their countries in France and Flanders and their own countries during the Great War. It does not seek to glorify war and is non-political. For a modest annual subscription, our members receive a wide range of benefits. In particular, belonging to the WFA provides you with the opportunity of meeting like-minded people to learn, share, explore and exchange information and knowledge in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The Northumberland Branch meets in Alnmouth at the Ex-Serviceman's Club on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7.00pm

The River Aln Boat Club
The River Aln Boat Club was formed by a small group of local people in 1978. The Club promotes boating in the Alnmouth area, including dinghy and cruiser sailing, fishing and canoeing. The club has strong links with the community of Alnmouth and welcomes new members who live close to Alnmouth. The club offers its members moorings and a dinghy park. Members may own a boat, canoe or just be a member for social reasons. The club is affiliated to the RYA and supports the RNLI Amble.
