There are 2 vacancies for the office of Councillor for Alnmouth Parish.

 

The Role of a Councillor

As a councillor representing the community of Alnmouth, you will help keep it a great place to live and work. You will be supported in your role and training will be provided. You will need to have laptop or mobile phone on which you can send and receive emails and should be comfortable using the internet to review planning applications. If you have a positive outlook, a can-do attitude and are willing to work as part of a team then you would be an asset to the Parish Council.  If this sounds like you – then please apply.

The Process

The Parish Council intends to fill this vacancy by co-option. If you are interested, please send your application by post or email to the Clerk to the Council formally declaring your willingness to be co-opted and stating why you would like to be considered.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible candidates must be aged 18 years or older and must, in addition, either be on the Electoral Roll of the Parish or, during the whole of the past 12 months, have either lived in the Parish, owned or leased land in the Parish, worked in the Parish, or lived within three miles of it.

 

The successful candidate will be required to sign a Declaration of Acceptance of Office, and complete a Register of Interests and can serve until the next local council elections in 2025.
