Connections by Bus

The X18 Service picks up from one of three bus stops in the village; at the entrance to the village by the Old Chapel and on the opposite of the road on its way out from Alnmouth; at the Post Office next to the village church; and by the Hindmarsh Hall at the bottom of Northumberland Street.  Buses go to NEWCASTLE to the South and to Alnwick (usually signposted to BERWICK) to the North. Connections at Morpeth and Alnwick bus stations give access to more routes such as Berwick and Edinburgh to the North and Ashington and Woodhorn Colliery to the South.

Click on Bus Timetables which will take you to the Arriva Website where you can download a map of the local bus routes served by the X18 service as well as downloading the latest bus timetables. Please make sure you catch the right bus that takes you to Alnmouth from the station (see below).

If you are travelling from the station to Alnmouth you need to take the bus that is travelling to NEWCASTLE (also stops at Warkworth and Amble)

If you are travelling from the station to Alnwick and the North then you need to take the bus that is travelling North too BERWICK
