so routes North and South are easy to reach.
Alnmouth lies just of the A1068
which gives access to the Coastal Route southwards to Warkworth, Amble, and Ashington and to Alnwick, the county town of Northumberland.
The A1068
joins major routes e.g. A19 which takes travellers under the Tyne or to major out of town shopping and entertainment centres such as Silverlink.
The A19
also gives access to the Ferry Port for ferries to Amsterdam.
